Arrestee: Tashebia Michelle Brown, black female, 26 years of age, Marianna, FL
Charges: Child Neglect
On March 8th, 2016 at approximately 3:52 p.m., Officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to the Hudnall Medical Building located at 4230 Hospital Drive in reference to a small child which had been left inside a vehicle unattended. Upon arrival Officers located a white Kia Soul and inside the vehicle officers located a 5 year old child whom according to witnesses had been inside the vehicle unattended for over an hour. Once Officers had been on scene for approx. 15 minutes they were able to make contact with the child’s mother who was identified as Tashebia Brown. Brown attempted to convince Officer’s that the small child had only been in the vehicle for a short time however that claim was contradicted by multiple witnesses. Tashebia Brown was placed under arrest for child neglect and was transported to the Marianna Police Department for processing and later transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility where she will await first appearance.
