
On Monday, May 09, 2016, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force concluded an ongoing investigation in the illegal sales and distribution of Marijuana in the Sneads, Florida area. A search warrant was executed at a residence at the intersection of Old Spanish Trail and Keevers Road. The investigation and subsequent search warrant came as a result of numerous citizen complaints and a tip indicating the resident was regularly distributing Marijuana from the residence.
During the course of the search investigators discovered over 3 pounds of Marijuana, scales, plastic bags, a stolen firearm, and $6,370 U.S. Currency. Also seized were three vehicles under the Florida Forfeiture Act. The seized Marijuana has a street value of approximately $6,200.
The following person(s) were arrested:
Arrested: Carlos Geathers, 29, Sneads, FL.
Charges: possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, grand theft of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia
Arrested: Eugene Travis, 31, Sneads, FL
Charges: possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, grand theft of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
