On July 14th, 2016 at approximately 3:52 p.m. Officers of Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Alfred Johnson of Cottondale. During the traffic stop, Officer’s conducted a lawful search of the vehicle which revealed a container with methamphetamine inside. Additionally, Officer’s discovered a blue dashboard light which is used by Law Enforcement, mounted to the dash board of the vehicle and was readily able to be activated. Johnson was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine and unlawful use of blue lights. Johnson was transported to Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
