From Jackson County Sheriff’s Office
On September 12, 2016 Jackson County Sheriff’s Office became involved along with Department of Children and Families in a sexual abuse case in which the allegations were that Ralph Herman Fox, Jr., had inappropriately touched two children. Both victims made disclosures of lewd and lascivious act by Ralph H. Fox, Jr. On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, investigators obtained a non-custodial statement from Ralph Herman Fox, Jr., about the allegations of sexual abuse. On September 15, 2016, it was learned that Fox had fled the county while an arrest warrant was being obtained, charging him with 4 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.
Investigators learned that Fox may be in the Bay County area. The United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, Homeland Security and Bay County Sheriff’s Office were contacted for help in locating Fox. Investigators learned of Fox’s possible location but were unable to make contact with him. On Sunday, September 18, 2016, Fox turned himself into the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office without incident. Fox was then transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance. On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, a second arrest warrant was obtained for Fox charging him with 14 counts of manufacturing and possession of child pornography. This investigation is ongoing with Fox being held at the Jackson County Correctional Facility under a $1,500,000 bond.
