From the Marianna Police Department
On May 12th, 2016 at approximately 9:34 a.m., officers with the Marianna Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a White Kia Soul for the violation of Failing to stop at a stop sign near the intersection of Old Cottondale Road and Orange Street. Once Officer’s attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle led officers on a pursuit as it traveled through residential streets and with wanton disregard for public safety. The driver of the vehicle was later identified as Arthur Collier who ended the pursuit in front of his residence on Graham Street as he fled from the vehicle on foot. Collier was taken into custody in some nearby brush near Mattie’s Lane. Collier is charged with the below listed charges and was booked into the Jackson County Correctional Facility where he will await first appearance.

Charges: Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, habitual Traffic Offender
