Jackson County:
- S.R. 2 from East of Cowarts Creek to S.R. 71 – Milling and paving is underway, sidewalk and signal work will begin soon.
- S.R. 2 from C.R. 165 to the Georgia State Line –Guardrail work continues.
- S.R. 77 from the Washington County line to south of Brown Street- Construction activities are underway along the eight-mile corridor. Drivers can anticipate temporary delays. The $3.4 million construction contract calls for resurfacing, minor drainage improvements, signage and pavement markings. Construction is anticipated to be completed late summer 2016.
All planned construction activities are weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the reduced speed limit when traveling through the construction area.
