From Jackson County Sheriff’s Office
On Thursday October 20, 2016, Investigators with the Jackson County Drug Task Force made contact with Jeffrey Wayne Butler in reference to an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Investigators placed Butler under arrest and conducted a search of his person before being transported to the County Jail. During the search, Investigators located approximately 22 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine along with vials and baggies used to package and distribute methamphetamine. A glass smoking pipe was also located which contained suspected methamphetamine residue.
As a result, Jeffrey Wayne Butler is additionally being charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Sheriff Lou Roberts and the Jackson County Drug Task Force are committed to continuing to rid our community of any and all dangerous drugs and will continue to target and actively pursue anyone who chooses to manufacture, deliver, transport, distribute, and possess illegal narcotics in our County.
